« Voix Dômes » is a male voice choir from Châtel-Guyon, a spa town in the Puy-de-Dôme department in France.
Our repertoire :
Sticking to its tradition the choir has a wide-range repertoire, from operatic arias to sacred songs-including orthodox chants, from classical to modern pieces, from French to foreign variety. Each of our concert is a balance between rhythm, martiality, tenderness, nostalgy, dream, passion and sweetness.

Our Musical Director :
After gaining a music scholarship and a gold medal for singing, Véronique Valleix has multiplied and diversified musical experiences as a soloist, chorister or choir director in different French departments and territories : Yonne, French Polynesia, Hautes-Alpes, Aude and Pyrénées Orientales. She was also singing teache at the Papeete Conservatory in French Polynesia. Returning to the Puy-de-Dôme, where she was born, she set up as an independent singing teacher and she provide private or collective lessons about voice technique. She currently directs two choirs : the Sainte-Anne mixed choir from Châtel-Guyon and the Voix Dômes men’s choir also from Châtel-Guyon.
Our history :
The mixed choirs of two neighbouring cities, Châtel-Guyon et Beauregard-Vendon, had the same musical director : Mrs Anne Siffointe. Meetings between the two choirs spring up the idea to form a men’s choir.
The first rehearsals take place in 2001 and led in 2004 to create officialy a choir named : Men’s choir Châtel-Vendon. The choir initially made of fifteen singers has grow to nearly forty today. The choir appears in private or open concerts in different places in the Puy de Dôme department, in other part of France and sometime abroad as for instance in Dublin in 2017 for « 4th Ballinter International Male Voice Choir Festival ». A list of the concerts done during the last five years is available in the « Nos concerts » page of the website. The dates of the planned concerts are announced on the « Notre agenda » page of the website. We apologize that both pages are only available in French.
From its inception many musical directors take the charge to lead the choir. Starting with Mrs Anne Siffointe, then were coming Mr. Dominique Vadot, Mr. Michel Pelletier, Mrs Hélène Delage and, from september 2018, Mrs Véronique Valleix.
In 2015 the choir took the initiative to organize the « Rencontres internationales de voix d’hommes » in the Châtel-Guyon theater (an italian style theater build in 1901). The success of the first edition led to repeat the experience in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022. These festivals were an opportunity to host such choral societies as le Choeur de l’Armée française, les Voix d’Orphée from Sofia in Bulgaria, Vox Belarus from Minsk, Les Stentors, The King’s Singers, alongside French, Irish, German, Basque, Spanish, Swiss and British choirs. The next festival is planned in 2026.
Starting from september 2019, the choir changed its name and is today known as : « Voix Dômes ».
Our mindset :
Work and friendship are the two engines of our group. We are all looking for to make progress, improve our vocal quality and be rigorous in a climate of good humour, conviviality and the pleasure of singing.
The choir holds regularly concerts to raise funds for local and national charities.
